View Full Version : Best cheapish DVD-ROM drive?
As above, preferably possible to flash into region-free (performance is more important than this, tho)?
I'm seeing artec and liteon drives going for £30ish, are there any model numbers I should be looking for?
Ta!
Liteon are really good from what i`ve heard.
I use a pioneer one which are also really good.
Not sure model numbers though :D
Its at the stage of the Cycle now, where you can buy almost any drive and you'll be able to Flash it. So, look for a model you like and get out the old credit Card.

I bought a 16x Pioneer slot-loading drive from Dabs ages ago (when my 8x Pioneer tray-loading drive broke) and it was only £35 (plus delivery).
